The progeny of proven Highview sire Danroad added another string to their bow when Linton Street (ex Sarraia) showed his staying prowess by taking out the A$101,500 Lavazza Amodo Mio Handicap (2800m) at Flemington last month.
Danroad has demonstrated the ability to leave winners at all distances and Linton Street looks a stayer of immense promise.
Moroney said of Linton Street after that Melbourne success: “He is still one preparation away from being at his best but he is a very nice type of staying horse.
“He got a lovely run and got a couple of breaks at the right time in the home straight. He quickly picked them up and went to the line full of running.
“He has not done a lot of racing and we have been patient with him because he is such a big horse and we always felt he would come into his own as a stayer,” said Moroney.
Linton Street has only had the six starts to date and has managed to weigh in on five occasions.
