With five wins already on the board this season the Highview racing team is firing on all cylinders this season.

Brent Gillovic-trained gallopers Wealth Princess (2 wins), Keith’s Legacy (2 wins) and Amazing Sky (1 win) have combined to post the five-win total  from the stable’s nine starters this season.

Wealth Princess (San Luis x Wealth Star) has racked up two impressive wins to date this season and is unbeaten in three career appearances to date – all over 1200m.

Her winning sequence began back at Hastings on April 30 when she cleared maiden ranks in effortless style scoring by almost two lengths.

She then reappeared in the new season at Te Rapa on Labour Day and once again she put her rivals to the sword winning convincingly by more than two lengths.

Win number three for Wealth Princess came at Te Rapa on November 7 when she won the Classic Hits Handicap in equally convincing style.

Gillovic is eyeing up Group 1 glory for Wealth Princess at Ellerslie on New Year’s Day with one of the country’s annul feature sprint events, the $200,000 Blandford Lodge Railway Handicap, on her radar.

She will have her next outing this weekend at either the Te Rapa meeting (Saturday) or at Ellerslie (Sunday).

Keith’s Legacy (Johar x So There) is also unbeaten having won both of his starts this season in stylish fashion. He won on debut over 1150m at Te Awamutu on October 9 and scored again at the Avondale meeting last Saturday, over 1200m.

The highly promising three-year-old  has been subject to some large offers but these have been turned down by breeder and part-owner John Rowan who has been a long time client and supporter of Highview Stud.

“There have been some serious offers for the horse but John recognises he has a very smart horse and wishes to retain him to get the enjoyment of racing,” Gillovic said.

Gillovic says the three-year-old feature, the Gr. 3 $70,000 Wellington Stakes at Trentham on January 23, will be a major target for Keith’s Legacy over the summer.

Amazing Sky (Danroad x Quasi Stellar) has headed to the broodmare paddock at Highview after being retired from the racetrack during the spring. She posted the third win of her career at the Avondale meeting on October 28. As a two-year-old she was a stakes placegetter in the Welcome Stakes at Riccarton.
