Talented kiwi mare Wealth Princess is no guarantee to push on towards a start in the $1 million Group I Stradbroke Handicap (1400m), according to her trainer Brent Gillovic.
The winner of last Saturday’s Group III Glenlogan Park Stakes (1350m) at Doomben, Wealth Princess is 34th in the Stradbroke order-of-entry.
“She will definitely go on to the Group II Dane Ripper Stakes over 1400 metres on Saturday week, but I will have to talk with [owner] Sean [Buckley ] to decide whether we push on to the Stradbroke the following Saturday, or the Group I Winter Stakes for fillies and mares later in the month,” Gillovic told NZTM.
Wealth Princess is the latest high-class racemare purchased by high profile Victorian-based owner, Sean Buckley.
Buckley, also owns former champion sprinter Miss Andretti, the winner of five Group I races, and former South African mare Dane Julia , who later won the Group I New Zealand Bloodstock Breeders Stakes in New Zealand.
Wealth Princess is $12 with TAB Sportsbet in Stradbroke Handicap betting.
