Broodmare owners who book their mares to a Highview Stud stallion before September 10 will go into the draw to win a luxury prize package at the Select Le Grand Hotel in Hamilton.
The prize will feature a scrumptious dinner for two at the hotel’s new Finz seafood restaurant, a night’s luxury accommodation as well as a breakfast for two at the boutique hotel, which is now under the management of the Select Group.
The Select Group specialises in boutique luxury accommodation and has almost 50 deluxe hotels and resorts in 11 countries in the Asia Pacific region. This is the first move by Select into the Waikato region.
“Select is delighted to be associated with Le Grand Hotel. We will be re-opening the upstairs Cocktail bar and Grill which will again become the best fine dining experience in the area,” said Select’s managing director Mr Balch. “In addition we will be introducing a new executive club floor.”
“Other plans for the future include a Spa and Beauty Salon and a roof top cigar bar plus a new concept for the Café,” Mr Balch said.
The Le Grand building was originally constructed in 1925 and was well known as Wesley Chambers which housed a law firm and doctors surgery.
In 1994 the landmark building was transformed from Wesley Chambers into a boutique hotel which has had many notable guests over the years including Prime Ministers, overseas dignataries and sporting celebrities. The hotel has 39 rooms ranging from standard rooms through to top executive suites.
