- OFF TO A GREAT START WITH G1 WINNER ULANOVA -

The only son of I AM INVINCIBLE, Australia’s second leading sire of stakes winners (16 from 19 stakes races), at stud in NZ.
While his oldest NZ progeny are yearlings, and they are good types in the general mould of their sire. Santos is already the sire of over 43 winners including Group One winner ULANOVA, stakes winners WEST OF DALBY and MOORLANDS MISS, and stakes performer Platinum Attack.
Last season, he finished ahead of Staphanos, Ardrossan and Satono Aladdin on the Australian Sires Earnings list. In New Zealand, he has had four winners from just five runners and Platinum Attack missed a valuable stakes win by a nose.
A fast and precocious juvenile, Santos was trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott to win at the early Spring 2YO trials, he was third in the Listed ATC Breeders Plate, he commenced his autumn campaign with an easy win in the ATC Pierro Plate (1100m), and booked his place in the G1 ATC Golden Slipper (1200m) with a tenacious win in the G2 ATC Skyline Stakes (1200m), a race previously won by Snitzel, Choisir, Hinchinbrook and Manhattan Rain.
Bred by Emirates Park, Santos is a half-brother to Japanese Group Three winner Melagrana from the family of Group winners Mutawaajid, Adeewin and Fatoon, the dam of Group One winner Fat Al and he is completely free of Danehill blood,
His first crop of yearlings sold up to $150,000 and Ulanova was sold privately for $1.2 million!

“Santos has kicked off his career in fantastic fashion and has a Group One winner in Ulanova from his first crop. There is immeasurable upside with a stallion of his looks and credentials.”
Aquis Stallions Director of Sales, Jonathan Davies.
“When my son Kurtis and I inspected Santos, we were really taken by him as an individual. He has a huge masculine presence, terrific conformation and as impressive a type as you could hope to see."
Brent Gillovic, Highview Stud
